    Birthday Bash

    On your birthday!

    Old Town Warrenton wants to celebrate your birthday with you! Plan to come to Old Town on your birthday and stop in any of the participating merchants to start your birthday celebration. Birthday Celebrators will receive a sticker and bag that participating merchants will fill with goodies for you. It is our way of wishing you a very Happy Birthday! Look for this window cling to find a participating business.

    It’s that time of year again, when Saturdays and Wednesdays mean GREAT FOOD at the Warrenton Farmers Market! Featuring all-locally grown and produced fruits, vegetables, poultry, pork, beef, eggs, pies, breads and more.

    Come and celebrate First Fridays in Old Town Warrenton!

     

    Stroll Historic Main Street beginning in May, the First Friday night of each warm month. Main Street will be closed and converted into a pedestrian park while Main Street shops remain open late with wine tastings, sales and special events. There will be music, artists, entertainment and dinner specials at our award winning restaurants.

     

    Past highlights have included cooking demonstrations, floral demonstrations, sidewalk art for the children, live bands, and many other unique events! A sure bet for the summer fun! Scroll down form more information on each month. Now featuring a Beer and Wine Garden!!

    Halloween Parade HappyFest

    October 29th

    On October 29 at 2PM, children are invited to walk Main Street dressed in their Halloween costumes. Following the parade, participating merchants will distribute candy to children.

    October 20/21 & 27/28, 2017

    Come join the Fauquier History Museum at the Old Jail for our annual Ghost Tours of Warrenton. Walk through town with a ghostly guide and learn chilling stories from our town's history. Tour tickets and reservations must be made in advance in order to ensure admittance, because these tours sell out quickly each year.

    Warrenton Windows

    Sunday, October 22

    Participating merchants invite local children to decorate special canvases placed on shop windows for Halloween. This event serves as a food drive for the Fauquier FISH food pantry. Awards are given for best painting in a number of categories. Window painting scheduled for Sunday, Oct 22.

    The Virginia Gold Cup has over the past century made steeplechasing one of the most prestigious sports in America. Former NSA President George Strawbridge calls the Gold Cup’s Great Meadow racecourse, “The crown jewel of American steeplechasing.” Nick Arundel said simply “what this generation and The Virginia Gold Cup is doing at Great Meadow is driven by harmony with its community, its traditions and its environment.”

    Christmas Parade On Main St.

    Come join the Town of Warrenton for the magical Christmas Parade down Main Street. There are twinkling lights, fire trucks, pups in costume, trumpets and drums playing the sounds of the holiday, elves with candy and fireworks!

    Gum Drop Square

    Dec. 1-3, Dec. 8-10, Dec. 15 -17, 2017

    Experience the splendor and the tradition of Christmas in Old Town Warrenton. Join us for the award-winning GumDrop Square and Santa’s Secret Shop, where Santa will be on hand for photo-ops and hearing your wish list! Take your own photo with Santa, or for a donation we will take one for you. The first three Friday's in December, step back in time and enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride down Main Street. NEW this year: On Dec. 3, 3 pm - 4 pm, SPCA and EOTW are partnering to bring you “Pet Photos with Santa,” so bring your pup!

     

    Gum Drop Square takes place the first three weekends in December at these times:

     

    Fridays: 6 – 9 pm
    Saturdays: 10 am – 1 pm
    Sundays: 1 pm – 3 pm

    Molly's 5k

    March 2018

    Wear your green and walk or run through historic Old Town Warrenton, VA while raising awareness and funds for our beloved wounded warriors. All proceeds will benefit Boulder Crest Retreat, "Healing heroes. One family at a time."

     

    This year's race is limited to 600 participants, so register early.

    Spring 2018

    Admission is free for this one-day craft fair that draws 25,000-30,000 people from around the region, rain or shine. Located on the edge of the Washington, DC, metropolitan area, Warrenton's historic Main Street transforms into a craft festival featuring more than 250 artisans and crafters, food vendors, and entertainers offering something to please everyone in the family.

    Craft offerings include jewelry, handmade toys, photography and fine art, handcrafted items for the home and yard, pottery, hand bags, and personal accessories. Festival food includes hot dogs, hamburgers, barbeque chicken, crab cakes, fresh-squeezed lemonade, gyros, kettle corn, funnel cakes, steak and cheese, and shaved ice treats. Many vendors come from Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, and West Virginia, but some come from as far away as New Hampshire, Florida, and Michigan to sell their wares at the festival.

    Father's Day Car Show

    Father's Day 2018

    The Father’s Day Car Show has become a family tradition for many in our area. Several thousand attendees come each year to see all the great cars and enjoy an outing with Dad. This is a great opportunity to enhance your business’s visibility with over 20,000 passionately engaged locals and visitors! As you may know this Car show has been traditionally sponsored by the Greater Warrenton County Chamber, but starting this year for 2017 the Car Show will now be sponsored by the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Fauquier County. Our Fauquier Relay for Life movement has been in existence since 1994 and 100% of all proceeds will be donated to the fight against cancer though the American Cancer Society.

    Saturdays in Summer

    At 7:30 p.m. Saturday evenings in front of the Warren Green Building in downtown historic Warrenton, VA, Bluemont puts on a concert for local residents and tourists alike! Schedule for 2018 will be posted here when it is released.
