    Wear your green and walk or run through historic Old Town Warrenton, VA, while raising awareness and funds for our beloved wounded warriors. All proceeds will benefit Boulder Crest Retreat, "Healing heroes. One family at a time."

    Saturdays mean GREAT FOOD at the Warrenton Farmers Market! Featuring all-locally grown and produced fruits, vegetables, poultry, pork, beef, eggs, pies, breads and more.


    Join the market at its new location behind 21 Main St along 1st St on Saturdays from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. Parking is available behind the Post Office; entrance to parking lots are on N. 3rd St.

    Beginning in May, stroll historic Main Street the first Friday evening of every month until October. Main Street will be closed and converted into a pedestrian park while shops remain open late with wine tastings, sales and special events. There will be music, artists, entertainment and dinner specials! Enjoy local food, live music and our Beer Garden! There are a variety of vendors and experiences for the whole family.

    Tentatively schedule for September 18, 2021

    Admission is free for this one-day craft fair that draws people from around the region, rain or shine. Located on the edge of the Washington, DC, metropolitan area, Warrenton's historic Main Street transforms into a craft festival featuring more than 250 artisans and crafters, food vendors, and entertainers offering something to please everyone in the family.

    Craft offerings include jewelry, handmade toys, photography and fine art, handcrafted items for the home and yard, pottery, hand bags, and personal accessories. Festival food includes hot dogs, hamburgers, barbeque chicken, crab cakes, fresh-squeezed lemonade, gyros, kettle corn, funnel cakes, steak and cheese, and shaved ice treats. Many vendors come from Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, and West Virginia, but some come from as far away as New Hampshire, Florida, and Michigan to sell their wares at the festival.

    Father's Day Car Show

    The Father’s Day Car Show has become a family tradition for many in our area. Several thousand attendees come each year to see all the great cars and enjoy an outing with Dad. This is a great opportunity to enhance your business’s visibility with over 20,000 passionately engaged locals and visitors! As you may know this Car show has been traditionally sponsored by the Greater Warrenton County Chamber, beginning in 2018 the Car Show is now sponsored by the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Fauquier County. Our Fauquier Relay for Life movement has been in existence since 1994 and 100% of all proceeds will be donated to the fight against cancer though the American Cancer Society.

    The Virginia Gold Cup has over the past century made steeplechasing one of the most prestigious sports in America. Former NSA President George Strawbridge calls the Gold Cup’s Great Meadow racecourse, “The crown jewel of American steeplechasing.” Nick Arundel said simply “what this generation and The Virginia Gold Cup is doing at Great Meadow is driven by harmony with its community, its traditions and its environment.”

    This is a free family friendly community event that brings together neighbors, friends and local businesses. The event has live music, a family friendly kids zone, free swimming at the WARF, vendors and some local restaurants that you won't want to miss. Did we mention the amazing firework show at dark? Definitely an event not to be missed.


    Gates open at 3 pm, and festivities start at 4 pm. Fireworks are after dusk.

    Participating restaurants and bakeries in Old Town Warrenton will offer special prix-fixe meals for lunch and dinner for $15, $25 and $35. Come support local restaurants and enjoy delicious food and fun experiences.



    Warrenton Ghost Tours

    October 16, 17, 23 & 24th *Register today by contacting the Fauquier History Museum at the Old Jail.

    Come out and enjoy an hour of ghostly tales as the Fauquier Historical Society’s costumed guides lead you through Old Town Warrenton. Tickets are $15 for adults/children over 12, and $5 for children under 12.

    Tours are limited and sell out quickly so get your tickets early! Due to limited tour sizes all tickets are non-refundable.


    * 6PM tours are specially designed for families with younger children and we strongly encourage families with children to sign up for these.

    ** All tours start at the Fauquier History Museum at the Old Jail, located at 10 Ashby Street Warrenton, VA 20186.

    The Great Pumpkin Ride

    The Great Pumpkin Ride is sponsored by the Fauquier Trails Coalition, a non-profit organization, and is a fundraiser for the construction of new trails throughout scenic Fauquier County. Registration is online only and the field is limited to 1,350 riders.

    Halloween Parade HappyFest

    In October, children are invited to walk Main Street dressed in their Halloween costumes. Following the parade, participating merchants will distribute candy to children.

    Bringing back the traditional gingerbread contest with a twist!


    We know you'll be spending a little bit more time at home this holiday season so show us what you can do! Submit up to 5 photos of your gingerbread creation in our 3rd Annual Gingerbread Competition! The contestant with the most 'likes' will win and Old Town Gift Card redeemable at over 30 merchants and retailers in Old Town Warrenton, VA!

    Christmas Parade On Main St.

    This year we have reimagined the traditional Old Town parade to a “Reverse Parade” format. Floats will be parked and displayed along Main Street and attendees will drive by and view from the safety of their vehicles. This approach will allow for spacing between parade entries and no direct contact with the public.

    Experience the magic of Santa Clause at GumDrop Square in a safe, socially distant atmosphere sponsored by CroppMetcalfe! Santa will be meeting with children of all ages on the stage of the Gloria Faye Dingus Music Alliance event center. Children will be able to sit by the fire and talk to Santa while parents are welcome to take as many photos as they'd like. Like in years past, children will be able to shop for their friends and family at Santa's Secret Shop located just down the hall at VonCanon's General Store and the Purple Pumpkin. Ticket's will be available for purchase for $2 each upon exiting Gloria's. Individual gifts each cost 1 ticket and will be wrapped and ready to give.


    The entrance to GumDrop Square will be located in the S. 5th St parking lot. We ask for understanding as we will be doing our best to make this a magical experience during trying times. All Executive Orders from the Governor will be followed. Masks will be required while waiting in line and we ask that you help us keep ample space between parties while waiting. The event is subject to change at anytime.
